Sole is based on the sun as a symbol of hope and purpose. I have been interested in beliefs surrounding the sun, Looking at Mayan sun worship, ‘Inti’, the ancestor of the Incas, and finding about the Roman Pagan god Sol. It is a great symbol of hope for the whole of humanity, dictating our entire existence on earth. Our entire planet revolves around its fiery glow, giving us life as we know it and everything around us. This project started as a stage set to put the focus on whoever stood in-front of it, embracing them in its warmth to give them the courage and power to speak what needs to be heard by the world.
