About Lily-Peach

I am interested in life, the soul, and the universe: the interconnectivity of things. I want to know why I’m here, where here is, and what on earth I should be doing. Not afraid of life’s greatest questions, my work luxuriates in them. I make installations that draw inspiration from all walks of life; science, philosophy, mythology and world religions in order to immerse the viewer in the work, so they can connect with it on a deeper level. Humanity is important to my work; I look at ancient people, their beliefs and the things they left behind. Mythology, artifacts, ruins, - glimpses into another way of life, a society that isn’t run by corporations and greed. And modern people, their beliefs, their disconnection to the world, yet the devastating impact we have on it. My ideas revolve around what it means to be human, flesh and bone, oxygen and carbon, atoms, - stardust. Where does our consciousness lie? Looking at the body, the vessel I reside in, and how it alters the way I perceive the world. How being me, affects my experience. I attempt to transcend the mundane, raising vibrations and creating light, using my art as a means to reconnect with the cosmos. But in order to connect with the universe, I need to explore the essence of life, and ask what it means to be human.
