Pneuma

In this series of work I have been exploring how the air we breathe is alive, drawn within us to animate our bodies, the same air has been breathed by the entirety of humanity, beyond the raw elements that make up our bodies, Breath is the essence of life. Pneuma is the ancient Greek word for ‘Breath’ and in Stoic thought, it is the creative force of a person. These ‘breath-prints’ draw on creative energy to capture what it means to be alive.
